About Aditi Mohan

“Original Paintings Exploring Emotion, Identity, and the Inner World.”

Aditi Mohan is a contemporary artist whose work explores the emotional and psychological layers of the human experience. Rooted in introspection, her paintings investigate identity, memory, and the quiet complexity of inner life.
She studied fashion at the National Institute of Fashion Technology in Mumbai, Istituto Marangoni in Milan, and LIM College in New York City. These global influences have shaped her distinct visual language, blending refined aesthetics with deeply personal expression.
Mohan’s work is characterized by expressive figures, layered compositions, and symbolic elements that evoke emotional duality and introspection. Faces and forms often appear fragmented or abstracted, reflecting the multifaceted nature of identity and the tension between inner and outer worlds. Her use of color is both intuitive and deliberate—at times bold and immersive, at others restrained and contemplative—mirroring the shifting intensity of human emotion.
Drawing from her own lived experiences—childhood memory, love, vulnerability, and transformation—she creates paintings that function as emotional landscapes. Each piece is less a fixed narrative and more an open-ended dialogue, inviting viewers to project their own experiences and interpretations.
Balancing structure with spontaneity, Mohan’s practice is guided by instinct as much as intention. The result is work that feels both intimate and expansive—visually striking, yet quietly immersive. Through her art, she offers not just an image, but a space for reflection, connection, and recognition
